PROGRAMS

Guided by our mission and core values, Big Brothers Big Sisters will help clear the path to a child’s greatest possible potential through the programs below:
COMMUNITY-BASED MENTORING
Traditional BBBS mentoring program matches youth in the community one-to-one, with adult mentors who meet a minimum of twice per month for at least one year. The match engages in recreational and educational activities driven by the interest and age of the mentee. Additional events, activities, and training are provided to the pairs by BBBS.

SPORTS BUDDIES
Sports Buddies is a one-to-one mentoring program that connects mentors and youth through shared participation in sports and activities to support a healthy, active lifestyle. Additional events, activities, and training are provided to the pairs by BBBS.

BIGS IN BLUE/BIGS WITH BADGES
These programs are focused on building relationships between law enforcement and public safety professionals and the communities they serve. The programs provide each child with a one-to-one mentoring relationship with a public safety professional, and in doing so, builds a bridge between the community and law enforcement. Matches meet twice a month in the school setting.

BEYOND SCHOOL WALLS
Beyond School Walls (BSW) mentoring program matches youth with an adult mentor in the workforce. Meetings take place at the mentor's place of work to expose students to workforce opportunities. Matches meet every other week in one-to-one relationships. The program infuses career development through each activity. Programs are established through corporate partnerships.

HIGH SCHOOL BIGS
This program matches high school students with elementary Littles in a one-day-a-week after-school program at their school. The matches meet in a group setting although still structured 1:1. The pairs engage in pre-planned activities under the supervision of BBBS staff. This program provides outcomes to both the Littles and the Bigs.
